The Origin

From the Living
Waters of the Himalayas

Palum — the local word for water. Dhara — a stream, a flow.Together, they represent the living waters that feed the tea gardens of Palampur, a town that takes its own name from the very springs that sustain it.

We began with a simple observation: some of India's finest orthodox tea was being grown in the Kangra Valley, yet its true character rarely travelled beyond the mountains.

Palum Dhara exists to bridge this gap — bringing the tea, wild forest honey, and sun-cured preserves of Himachal directly to those who value origin, craftsmanship, and the quiet rhythm of the mountains.

The glacial springs of the Dhauladhar range, the lifeblood of Palampur.

The mountains decide the flavour.

Our Standards

What “Directly Sourced” Actually Means

  • Single Origin

Every harvest is traced to one estate, one village, one batch.

  • Small Batch

Cooked and packed in quantities a household would recognise.

  • Women-led SHGs

Preserves and pickles made by self-help groups across Himachal.

  • Naturally Grown

No synthetic inputs on the gardens we source from.

  • No Artificial Preservatives

Just fruit, sugar, spice, and time — the old way.

  • Traditional Methods

Orthodox tea, sun-cured pickle, slow-cooked preserve.

  • Direct from Himachal

Sourced by hand, shipped from Palampur. No middlemen.

  • Traceable to Source

Harvest date, estate, elevation and batch on every tin.
